Sanchez has very quickly established himself as the player Arsenal and Arsene Wenger depend on for inspiration in the face of mediocrity.
A closely contested midweek tussle with Southampton appeared destined to end goalless until the relentless forward popped up with a late winner, and he admits that more of a direct approach in England compliments his attributes.
“The first year [at Barcelona] was okay and then the second year I was better, but I needed time," he continued.
"Arsenal play beautiful football, but Barcelona play in a way that no other team in the world does. English football is more direct, more end to end, but I like that. It suits the way I want to play."
