According to Saharareporters eyewitness said that the suicide bombers detonated their explosives across from the Monday market in the metropolis this morning around 11:30 AM. “A powerful bomb exploded at One Way road, adjacent (to) the Monday Market (area) around 11 am (1000 GMT) today,” said a senior police officer, who asked anonymity.
Market trader Usman Babaji told journalists the attacker concealed the bomb in a motorised rickshaw, which are popular throughout the country.
Another bomb explosion occurred on Tuesday morning, at the busy Monday Market close to the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) building in Maiduguri, Borno State capital, has left at least 18 people dead with 55 others severely injured.
