According to reports, Boko Haram insurgents have launched an attack on a market in Borno State.
The terrorists arrived at the market in Damasak town at about 11am on Monday, November 24, and shot sporadically at the traders, Daily Trust reports.
A security source has reportedly confirmed the attack saying that a battle is currently ongoing between the insurgents and Nigerian troops who arrived at the scene to counter the attack.
Another source told Daily Trust:
“The attack on the market started around 11am when many traders and buyers gathered at the market.”
